Vance Butler was the Vikings’ head coach from 1984-2001. Butler passed away suddenly on May 3, 2004.

HEAT SHEETS

LOCATION: Howard Wood Field (Corner of Western Avenue and Russell Street) * Javelin will be contested at Augustana University campus on Saturday April, 2

ADMISSION:  Adults - $6, K-12 - $3, Augie students with ID - Free.  Ticket booth is located at southwest corner of Howard Wood Field.

ENTRY FEE: $200 per team (Men and Women separate).  

ENTRIES: Entries can be done thru Direct Athletics. Entries close at 12 p.m. on Friday, April 1.

CHECK-IN: Please pick up coach's packet (heat sheet, instructions, scratches) prior to the meet. Please pay entry fee when picking up packet.

WEIGH IN: Javelin weigh-in: Saturday, April 2, 11:30 a.m. - 12 :30 p.m. at Augustana University
All other implement weigh-in: Sunday, April 3, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.

SCORING: None

ENTRY LIMITS: Four entries per school in long throws (hammer, discus) due to facility constrictions.  Unlimited in all other events

SEEDING: Please be as accurate as possible with entry times. This ensures fairness for all athletes and teams.

SHOWERS: Showers will be available at the Elmen Center on the campus of Augustana College (33rd and Grange).

ATHLETIC TRAINERS: Trainers will be available during the meet to administer first aid. Please bring your own athletic tape and other necessary supplies.
