To donate to the Community Clean Up Day, fill out the Online Donation Form
On Friday, May 8, members of the Augustana Viking football team, along with several coaches, will be participating in a "Community Clean Up Day," one of the team’s numerous community service projects.
The players and coaches spend approximately 5 hours volunteering their time and talents cleaning up the yards of approximately 25 elderly citizens. The groups rake leaves, mow lawns, wash windows and performed other odd jobs for the elderly homeowners.
"With opportunities like this community clean up day, our players fulfill essential needs in the community and also begin to understand the importance of servant leadership, which is a key to our future success as a team," head coach Brad Salem said.
Sponsors for the Clean Up Day include Workers on Wheels, Sunshine Foods, Dakota Sports and Coca-Cola. The Vikings would like to thank their sponsors for their involvement in this special project.
