BURNSVILLE, MINN. -- For the third time this season,
Logan O'Farrell, a senior guard for the Augustana women's basketball team, has been named the NSIC South Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
This is the fifth time this season a member of the Vikings women's basketball program has garnered the award and the fifth time O'Farrell has earned the award in her career.
The Summit, S.D. native recorded her fifth double-double of the season in a 16 point, 11 rebound performance in the 81-53 win over Minnesota Crookston on Friday night. She added five assists and one steal to go along with her double-double.
On Saturday in the 87-50 win over Bemidji State, O'Farrell poured in 12 points, corralled five rebounds, distributed four assists and added three steals.
The Vikings return to action Friday, Feb. 9 when they host rival Sioux Falls inside the Sioux Falls Arena at 6 p.m. The following day, Augie hosts Southwest Minnesota State at 4 p.m. in the Arena. Friday night's contest is alumni night, while Saturday Augustana will honor its seniors.
