Logan O'Farrell of the Augustana women's basketball team has been named the NSIC South Player of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. This is the second time O'Farrell has won the award this season and fourth time in her career.
The senior from Summit, S.D. averaged 15 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.5 steals, 3.5 assists and 2 blocks in two road wins over Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls over the weekend.
She scored 12 points, snagged six rebounds, distributed five assists and accounted for five steals and two blocked shots in win at SMSU on Saturday night. On Sunday in the win over USF, she added 18 points, seven rebounds, six steals, two blocks and two assists.
The Vikings return to action this weekend when they host Minnesota State on Friday, Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. inside the Sioux Falls Arena.
