Women’s Basketball Announces its 2017-18 Slate

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana University head women's basketball coach Dave Krauth has announced the 2017-18 schedule, featuring 13 home contents – 10 of which will take place at the Sioux Falls Arena.

The Vikings open up their 2017-18 campaign on Nov. 13th with Truman State at the Elmen Center. Following the season-opener, Augustana takes on William Penn University –which will take place at the Elmen Center – before traveling to Wayne, Neb. for a battle with NSIC foe Wayne State.

Augustana heads to the Concordia-St. Paul Tournament in St. Paul, Minn. running from Nov. 24-25. The Vikings open up the tournament matching up with Michigan Tech University on Friday before wrapping up the tournament with Lake Superior State University on Saturday.

Augustana's conference home opener takes place on Dec. 8 when the Vikings host Minot State inside the Sioux Falls Arena. The Minot State contest is the beginning of a three-game conference home stand. After Minot State, Augustana hosts U-Mary on Dec. 9 before closing their home stand Dec. 19 with a battle with Wayne Sate.

The Jan. 19 matchup with Upper Iowa from the Sioux Falls Arena is the start of a four game home stand for Augustana – the longest home stand of the season. Along with Upper Iowa, the Vikings host Winona State on Jan. 20, Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 26 in the Elmen Center, with the St. Cloud State matchup on Jan. 27 wrapping up the stand.

Augustana battles crosstown rival University of Sioux Falls Feb. 9 in the Sioux Falls Arena. The Vikings wrap up their regular season home slate with Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 10.

The Vikings return five seniors this season to a squad that won 23 games and the NSIC South Division Championship in 2016-17.
