BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Presley O'Farrell, a senior guard for the Augustana women's basketball team, has been named the NSIC South Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The Summit, S.D. native averaged 14 points, eight rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in wins over Minot State and UMary over the weekend at the Sioux Falls Arena. O'Farrell scored 12 points, corralled six rebounds, dished out six assists, snagged four steals and tallied one black in the Vikings 83-52 win over Minot State on Friday night.
O'Farrell averages 12.9 points and 5 rebounds per game and is one of four Vikings averaging 10 or more points a contest this season.
This is the first NSIC Player of the Week honor in O'Farrell's career and the second Viking to earn this award this season. 
Shelby Selland was tabbed Player of the Week honors back on Nov. 20, 2017.
With a  9-0 (5-0 NSIC) record, Augustana is off to their best start since the 2012-13 season, a year in which the squad made the final four.
The Vikings return to action Tuesday, Dec. 19 when they host Wayne State at 6 p.m. inside the Sioux Falls Arena.
