WAYNE, Neb. -- The Augustana women's basketball team picked up a gritty 83-78 overtime win on the road over Wayne State to open NSIC play Monday night. The Vikings (3-0, 1-0 NSIC) had four players in double-figures including a career-high 20 points from senior

Logan O'Farrell led the way for the Vikings, pouring in team-high 21 points on 7-of-18 shooting. The Summit, S.D. native also hauled in 11 rebounds and was the only player in the game who managed a double-double. Peterson snagged eight rebounds for Augustana.
Presley O'Farrell scored 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting, corralled six rebounds and dished out five assists. Junior center
Shelby Selland, the reigning NSIC South Player of the Week scored 14 points and was a perfect 2-for-2 from long range.
As a team, the Vikings shot 37.3 percent from the field, made seven 3-pointers (7-27, 25.9 percent) and forced 29 Wayne State turnovers. The Wildcats shot 47 percent from the field and had 45 rebounds compared to Augustana's 40.
Wayne State had three players in double-figures. Paige Ballinger led all scores with 22 points. Ballinger also brought down eight rebounds. Kacie O'Connor connected for 14 points and Erin Norling had 11.
Augustana returns to action Friday, Nov. 24 when the Vikings take on Michigan Tech in the Concordia-St. Paul Tournament at 2 p.m.
