BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Seniors Tahlyr Banks and Alex Banker of the Augustana volleyball team each earned NSIC honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Banks, a libero from Omaha, Neb. won the defensive player of the week, while Banker, also and Omaha native, won setter of the week.

Averaging 6.43 digs per set in wins over MSU Moorhead and #9 Northern State, Banks had 23 digs on Friday night vs. the Dragons and 22 on Saturday vs. the Wolves.

Banker averaged 14.14 assists per set over the weekend. She had 39 assists in the win over the Dragons and a career-high 60 assists and three service aces in the 3-1 win over the Wolves.

This is the fourth time Banks has won the NSIC defensive player of the week award and Bankers first time winning the setter of the week. 

The Vikings, who have won their last seven NSIC matches, return to action Fri. Oct. 20th at 6 p.m. when they travel to Minnesota State.
