CENTRAL REGION RANKINGS
TOPEKA, Kan. - The Augustana women's tennis team moved up two spots in the latest Central Region rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Vikings (9-0, 7-0 NSIC) now sit at No. 5 in the rankings, the highest of schools from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
Southwest Baptist remains the top team and is joined by Northeastern State (Okla.), Central Oklahoma, and Northwest Missouri State, all hailing from the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association, to complete the top four.
Washburn (Kan.) follows the Vikings and Winona State debuts in seventh. St. Cloud State joins Augustana and WSU from the NSIC at No. 9 while Henderson State (Ark.) is the lone member from the Great American Conference in the second edition of the Central region rankings, appearing at No. 8. Nebraska Kearney is the final team in the top 10.
The Vikings look to improve their ranking with a match against Division I competitor Northern Iowa on Sunday, March 3 at 10 a.m.
