- No. 18 Augustana fired a tournament-low round of 298 Sunday for a final score of 600 to run away with the title at its Spring Invitational at the Prairie Green Golf Course.  Emily Kvidera earned medalist honors with a 4-over-par 148.

The Vikings finished 20 strokes ahead of runner-up Gustavus in the 12-team tournament.

Kvidera, who entered Sunday's final round tied for seventh, made up significant ground with an even-par 72 on Sunday.

Four from Augustana finished in the top 10.

Maggie Leland tied for second at 5-over 149.  She shot a 73 Sunday.

Jennifer Benoy carded identical rounds of 75 to tie for fourth at 6-over 150.  Allie Ostrander tied for eighth with a 9-over 153 after turning in a 78 in the final round.

Molly Leland tied for 60th at 42-over 186.  She shaved five strokes off her first-round score, charting a 95 and 91.

Individual golfer Kelsey Bortnem tied for 44th with a 31-over 175.

The tournament victory was the sixth this season for Augustana.

The Vikings will finish the final two rounds of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Championship on April 21 and 22 at the Dacotah Ridge Golf Course in Morton, Minn.  Peggy Kirby's team is the two-time defending champion.
