Twins caravan to stop in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Minnesota Twins Winter Caravan stops at Augustana College's Elmen Center on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Elmen Center doors open at 5:30 p.m. with activities beginning at 6 in the Hall Sports Forum.

A total of 700 tickets are available and can be picked up in person at Results Radio, 5100 S. Tennis Lane, or the Midcontinent Customer Service Center, 5111 S. Louise Ave.

A free meal will be available compliments of Midcontinent Communications.

A 42-inch HDTV will be raffled off in support of Augustana's Ronken Field renovation project. Tickets are $1 or six for $5.

The event features Twins pitcher Anthony Swarzak, infielders Trevor Plouffe and Chris Parmelee, radio color-commentator Dan Gladden and team mascot T.C. Bear.

The group will speak, take questions from fans and sign autographs.

The Minnesota Twins 52nd annual Winter Caravan features stops in nearly 50 communities throughout Twins Territory. It is one of the longest running and most extensive offseason team caravans in professional sports. It features teams of current and former players visiting schools, hospitals, corporations and service clubs during the day with a traditional "hot stove" program each evening.
