SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Tickets for the fifth annual Prairie Spirit Charitable Challenge, a yearly battle between the Augustana and University of Sioux Falls basketball programs scheduled for Tuesday, are on sale at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office or at
ticketmaster.com.
Proceeds from this year's games benefit Feeding South Dakota's BackPack Program.
The women's game tips at 6 p.m., while the men are slated for an 8 p.m. tilt. Both contests are at the Sioux Falls Arena.
Tickets are $10.75 for the upper balcony and wings, $12.75 for the lower balcony and $15.75 for the lower reserved sections. Augustana Athletic Club passes and USF season tickets are not valid for this event.
The BackPack Program provides food to children who would otherwise be at risk of going hungry. Every Friday afternoon from September through May, the organization delivers more than 4,000 backpacks to 49 schools across South Dakota.
Last season, the Augustana women finished 20-10, while USF registered a record of 27-6. The Viking men were 18-9 a year ago, and the Cougar men posted a 24-6 mark.
