2009-10 NGCA All-American Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.
– The National Golf Coaches Association has announced that Augustana women's golfers Jennifer Benoy and Kate Tobin have been selected to the 2009-10 All-America Scholar Team for NCAA Division II.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50 and student-athletes must have competed in at least 50% (Division I) or 66% (Division II & III) of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.

Benoy, a chemistry major from St. Croix Falls, Wis., was a sophomore this past season with the Vikings. She played in 24 rounds in 2009-10 and owned an 85.0 stroke-per-round average.

Tobin, who is a business administration major from Eden Prairie, Minn., finished her senior season in 2009-10 by golfing in 276 rounds and compiling an average of 79.2 strokes. Tobin also finished tied for 39th at the NCAA Championships in Mesa, Ariz.
