Day 1 Results
The Augustana men's golf team is in ninth place after the first day of the Wayne State Spring Invitational held Sunday at the Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Neb.
Augustana fired a 318 on the par 72 course. The Vikings are closely bunched with three other teams. Northern State is seventh at 316 while Winona State is eigth at 317 and Minnesota, Crookston is 10th at 321. Nebraska-Kearney is the first-round leader in the team standings at 292.
Eric Hieb and
Jon Emerson were the Vikings' top performers on Sunday. Both Hieb and Emerson carded 77. They are tied for 24th place.
The two-day tournament concludes on Monday.
