The Augustana women’s tennis team ran its record to 8-0 with an 8-1 victory over College of St. Scholastica Monday night in Orlando, Fla.
The Vikings, ranked 10th in the Central Region, won five of six singles matches and all three doubles matches to remain unbeaten.
Brittany Gaster cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 win over Katie Motley in the No. 1 singles match and Hannah Gebauer# easily defeated Donni Sonnenfeld 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.
The two featured matches were at No. 2 singles and No. 4 singles. At No. 4 singles,
Jill Hagestuen held on to defeat Kelly Ross 6-4, 1-6, 10-8.
Michelle Wadas wasn’t as fortunate as Callee Conda rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 victory.
Augustana will be in action again on Tuesday when the Vikings face St. Michael’s in a 7 p.m. EDT dual.
