Augustana had players advance to the finals in 3 of the 4 singles flights and in 1 of the 2 doubles flights.
In singles,
Brittany Gaster,
Emily Johnson and
Amber Baustian all advanced to the finals of their respective flights. In Flight 1, Gaster edged Katie Callison of North Dakota 6-4, 6-4. Johnson won her Flight 3 semifinals match over Nellie Bloomberg of South Dakota State in 3 sets, rallying for a 1-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4 victory. Baustian claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win over SDSU's Molly Johnson to advance to the Flight 4 finals.
In Flight 1 doubles, the Vikings finished second and third.
Michelle Wadas and
Hannah Gebauer fell in the finals to Callison and Emma Larson of UND by a score of 8-1. However, Gaster and
Adrienne Conley won the third place match 8-6 over Erin Kappers and Brynne Wischer of UND.
