Final Results
The Augustana men's golf team had a strong second day to finish in seventh place after at the St. Cloud State Husky Classic, which concluded Monday at the St. Cloud Country Club.
The Vikings, who were ninth after Sunday's first round, shot a 306 on Monday to move up the leaderboard. Augustana finished the 36-hole tournament with a team score of 620. Minnesota State University, Mankato rallied from a 2-shot deficit after the first round to win the team title with a score of 589. St. Cloud State finished second at 598, while first-round leader Bemidji State was third at 600.
Individually, three Viking team members shot under 80 on Monday to help the team finish seventh.
Jon Emerson shot a 74 on Monday to tie for 11th place at 151.
Adam Walsh carded a 75 on Monday to finish at 152, which tied him for 16th place.
Eric Hieb tied for 35th place at 156 following a 77 on Monday. Next in was
Luke Robison, who tied for 62nd place at 162, while
Austin Kern was 1 shot back at 163, which tied him for 67th place with teammate
Joel Thompson, who competed as an individual. Rounding out the scores was
Ben Morgan, who tied for 81st place at 169.
Augustana's next action will be September 28-29 at the NSIC/RMAC Crossover in Gothenburg, Neb.
