Day 1 Results
The Augustana women's golf team used strong showings by
Emily Kvidera and
Kate Tobin to sit in sixth place after one round of the Wildwood Lodge Invitational, held Sunday at Tartan Park Golf Course in Lake Elmo, Minn.
Kvidera, a freshman, shot a 5-over par 77 and sits in a tie for third place. Meanwhile, Tobin carded a 79 and is in a fifth-place tie. Michelle Narveson of Winona State holds the first-round lead at 74, while McKenzie Holthaus of Upper Iowa is second at 76.
As a team, Augustana recorded a 332. The Vikings are 1 shot out of the top 5. Southwest Minnesota State is fifth at 331. Nebraska-Omaha and Winona State share the first-round lead at 319. Upper Iowa is third at 321, while Minnesota State University, Mankato is fourth at 323.
Kelly Lauer and
Kelli Lowry are tied for 40th place after each player carded an 88, while
Laura Strautz is tied for 54th place after recording a 92.
The tournament concludes Monday.
