The Augustana men's golf team sits in ninth place after the first day of the St. Cloud State Husky Classic, held Sunday at the St. Cloud Country Club.
The Vikings compiled a team score of 314 on the par 72, 6,676-yard course. Augustana is 4 strokes behind Concordia-St. Paul, which is in eighth place at 310. Bemidji State holds the first round lead after shooting a 294. Minnesota State University, Mankato is second at 296, while St. Cloud State is third at 298.
Individually,
Jon Emerson and
Adam Walsh each shot 77 on Sunday and sit in a tie for 21st place.
Eric Hieb is 2 shots back at 79 to sit in a tie for 42nd place. Next in is
Luke Robison, who is tied for 56th place at 81, while
Austin Kern is tied for 70th place at 83.
Monday's second and final round begins Monday morning.
