Final Results
The Augustana men’s golf team had a rough second round and finished seventh at the Augustana Fall Invitational, which concluded Monday at Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Vikings entered Monday's second round tied sixth place, but they shot a 319 over the final 18 holes to finish with a 36-hole total of 625. South Dakota won the team crown, overcoming a 4-shot deficit to finish at 584. Nebraska-Kearney, the first-round leader, tied for second place along with Concordia-St. Paul. Both squads carded a 587.
Individually,
Eric Hieb paced Augustana by finishing in 20th place. He shot a 78 on Monday to finish with a 2-day total of 152.
Jon Emerson and
Luke Robison tied for 25th place at 155, while
Ben Morgan (163) and
Austin Kern (172) were 44th and 56th.
The Vikings will be in action again on Sept. 20-21 at the Husky Open in St. Cloud, Minn.
