The Augustana men's tennis team split a pair of duals Saturday in Bismarck, N.D. The Vikings blanked U-Mary 9-0 before falling to St. Cloud State 9-0.
Augustana is now 5-9 on the season.
Against U-Mary, Augustana cruised to easy wins in four singles matches and two doubles matches. The only match that went more than two sets came at No. 1 singles, where Ryan Gardner edged Jackson Opperud 6-3, 1-6, 13-11 in a super tiebreaker.
The Vikings won by forfeit at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Against St. Cloud State, the Huskies dropped only 3 games in the doubles matches and they won all 6 singles matches in straight sets.
Augustana returns to the court on Sunday when the Vikings take on Minnesota State University, Mankato, at 1 p.m. at McKennan Park.
