Katie Shandri was named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Second Team while junior defender
Jill Goodrich earned All-NSIC Third Team honors, and junior defender
Ciara Godfrey was named All-NSIC Honorable Mention, the conference office announced today.
Shandri, a Windsor Heights, Iowa, native, started 18 of 20 games for the Vikings this year, leading the team in scoring with 10 goals. She also added three assists on the season. This is her second-straight All-Conference selection as she earned second team honors in 2008 as well.
Goodrich, named a team captain this season, started 19 games for the Vikings and was instrumental in leading the Augustana defense to six shutouts this season. The Coralville, Iowa native was named the 2009 Defensive Player of the Year and
earned first team All-NSIC honors as a sophomore.
This marks Godfrey's first NSIC award. The Maplewood, Minn., native started all 20 games for the Vikings this season, contributing nine shots and two shots on goal. She also helped lead the Augie defense to six shutouts.
All three players will return to the lineup next season.
