Day 1 Results
The Augustana women's golf team is in sixth place after Day 1 of the UNO Fall Classic Sunday at the Pines Country Club in Valley, Neb.
The Vikings put together a team score of 320 on the par 73 course. Nebraska-Omaha set the pace on the first day by shooting a 304. But the next five teams are separated by 8 shots. Truman State is second at 312, while Upper Iowa is third at 314. Concordia-St. Paul is in fourth place at 317 and Missouri Western State is 1 shot back at 318, just 2 strokes ahead of Augustana.
Individually,
Kate Tobin is the only Viking in the top 10. Tobin fired a 77, which has her in a tie for 10th place.
Emily Kvidera is tied for 14th place at 79.
Jennifer Benoy is 2 shots behind Kvidera at 81, good enough for a tie for 18th place.
Laura Strautz is in a tie for 21st place at 83 while
Kelli Lowry is tied for 33rd place at 87.
Emily Holck is competing as an individual and is tied with Lowry at 87.
Erin Ommen of UNO and Laura Taylor of Upper Iowa are tied for the first round lead after each player shot an even par 73 on Sunday.
Monday's final round begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.
