Box Score

The Augustana women's soccer team ended its most successful season in school history after dropping a 3-0 decision to Regis in the opening round of the NCAA Central Regional Championships Friday afternoon in Winona, Minn.

The Vikings end the season with a 13-6-1 record as the Rangers earned their 16th win of the season after scoring three second half goals and holding the Vikings scoring in check. Augustana went the final seven periods and two overtimes of the season without scoring a goal.

Both teams went back and forth for 51 minutes and 57 seconds before Ranger freshman Carter Cornett scored her team-leading 25th goal of the season.

The Rangers' second goal came after the the ball bounced around in front of the Vikings where it eventually was controlled by Emiliea Eisman, who connected with Lexi Tagen. Tagen then sent it in the top left side of the net for her seventh goal of the season at the 68:20 mark.

Just a little over three minutes later the Rangers scored again as Cornett found Jordan Miller for her 17th goal of the season.

Senior Lisa Jarovski made her final appearance in an Augie jersey and made 13 saves. The Rangers put up 24 total shots.

Katie Shandri and Stephanie Goos led the Vikings with two shots on goal in the game, while Kate Timmons, Erin Murphy and Raelyn Walczak each had one shot on goal. The team had eight total shots in the game.

Katelyn Ley also made her final start for Augustana, ending her career with three goals and one assist for Augustana.

Regis will take on Winona State (19-2-1) on Sunday at 1 p.m. The winner of that game advances to the Central Regional Championship game next week.
