The Augustana College football team will be conducting the Fourth Annual Augustana Women's Football Clinic on Thursday, August 20, head coach
Brad Salem announced.
The clinic, which is sponsored by Sanford, begins at 5 p.m. with registration and social hour, complete with wine tasting, hor d'oeuvres, a purse party and jewelry showing, at the Augustana presidential residence, located at the corner of Grange and 37th Street.
Then at 6:30 p.m., Augie coaches and players will lead a variety of drills in the new Kirkeby-Over Staduim. The stations will help explain the role of each position on the team, as well as the importance of strength and conditioning and equipment. Each station will feature a forum to ask questions. Participants are asked to bring their sneakers and sense of humor.
Door prizes will be awarded at 7:30 p.m., followed by a postgame party at 8 p.m. back at the presidential residence.
The cost of the clinic is $25 for advance tickets or $35 at the door. The fee includes a t-shirt and one ticket to a Viking home game.
